Scottburgh self-catering accommodation boasts a Main House (Sleeps 10) plus two luxury 3 bedroomed cottages. (Sleep 6 each) close to Scottburgh  along the beautiful Clansthal Conservatory beach. Compared to most other bustling towns on the south coast Clansthal is a restful place where one can side step time and its demands . Spectacular views, very private, right on the beach, mark these cottages as something special. Situated along Greenpoint Drive, 16 meters from the beach, yet only a 4 kilometer scenic drive on a tar road to the center of Scottburgh.

COTTAGES
Each 6 Sleeper Cottage is Identical and fitted as follows: (Paraplegic Friendly)
1. Both Cottages are Three (3) Bedroomed Cottage with the following.
a) Master Bedroom has Double Bed, Built in Cupboards, with Side Lamps next to Bed.
An Electronic Safe is built into the Cupboard. Code will be supplied when you book.
b) Second Bedroom has Double Bed, Built in Cupboards, with Side Lamps next to Bed.
c) Children’s Bedroom has Two Single Beds ( Adults can also sleep in them).
plus Built in Cupboards
d) Lounge has full Lounge Suite, Flat Screen TV, with DSTV EXPLORA Full Bouquet
e) DVD Player for movies..
(You need not bring your own smart card).
2. Single Bathroom with Shower, Basin, Make-Up Cupboard and Toilet.
Both Cottages Bathrooms are PARAPLEGIC Friendly. (Fitted with all Paraplegic Bars)
3. Open Plan Lounge with Kitchen
Kitchen is fitted with All necessary Utensils, Granite Table tops, including Stove, Fridge, Microwave, Electric Frying Pan, Bread Toasters, All Cutlery Kettle, etc.etc.
4. Six Out Door / Beach Chairs are also supplied.
5. We supply all linen, towels and bedding.
Please Bring  your own Beach Towels – Do not use supplied Towels for beach.
6. Each Cottage has its own Under Cover parking area.
You may also park next to cottage.
(Please park in such a way that everybody can get in and out with cars).

The House and Cottages are directly next to each other on the beach.

7. Both HOUSE and COTTAGES share the same Communal Area which are:
7.1 PATIO AREA with
a. Built Inn Brick “Braai”
b. Portable Stainless Steel Braai
c. Gas Braai.
d. Outdoor Tiled Shower (To was off Sand when you come from the Beach)
e. Built in Railway Sleeper Benches with Table tops next to Patio Wall.
7.2 GRASS FRONT LAWN AREA (12m x 24m)
On this Grass Area there are 3 Tables
Two tiled Round Cement Tables with Chairs.
Plus a 6 Seater Bar style Table made from recycled plastic.
This is where you relax / tan / eat breakfast / lunch and supper with a sun-downer.
7.3 LAUNDRY
There is a communal Laundry on site with Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer.
There is also Ironing Board and Iron available.
Please bring your own washing powder / soap if you wish to make use of it.
8. WATER SYSTEM
The Premises have been fitted with a Industrial Water Purification System.
The entire premises now get PURIFIED Water directly from your Tap.
No need to buy filtered/Purified water. You get it directly from your Tap.
A Back-UP 8000 Litre Tank will supply water should there be a general water repair problem.

9. AIRCONDITONED

House has an Air-Conditioner in each room
Cottages have 1 Airconditioner installed in the Lounge.

10. SECURITY:
The House and Cottages are in the “Clansthal Conservatory”
Premises are regularly patrolled by ARMU Security.
There are regular Guard Patrols on foot as well as by Patrol Car.
Fishing regrettably is not allowed in the conservancy area. You cannot fish on this beach.
We have never had a Burglary or Break-in at the Cottages.
The Beach is safe to swim and we have never had a “Shark” incidence there.

11. BONUS
There is also a Natural Rock Pool to the right where small kids (and adults) can swim safely if they so wish. (You need to walk about 700 meter on the beach to the Rocks)
It is a Private Beach and is not crowded like commercial town beaches.
You don’t have to cross Railway lines or roads to get to the beach.
You live On the Beach. You cant get closer.

12. SHOPPING & OTHER ENTERTAINMENT
a). For Shopping we recommend the Scottsburg Mall which has almost everything
(Pick & Pay / Woolworths / Clicks / Mr.Price / CNA / Spur / Ocean Basket / Steers /              Debonair’s Pizza, Fruit & Vege shop and many other shops).
The Mall are on the Old South Coast Road next to ScottsBurg. Drive from Clansthal to             Scottsburg (Do not turn in to Scottsburg), drive past Scottsburg towards Park Rynie and         you will get the mall on your right.
b). For Cinemas and other more sophisticated shops we recommend:
The Galeria Shopping Mall at Amanzimtoti. (About 20km away).
c.) The Light House
The Light House is on Greenpoint Rocks and you can walk there.
d) Crock World is exactly 2,5Km towards Scottsburg on the right (Just past Light House)
e) Shark Diving is located in Umkomaas exactly 2,8km from Clansthal
f) Aliwal Shoal Fishing / Diving / and Snorkeling is directly 11km out at sea.
You need to leave by speed Boat from Umkomaas Launch Pad
g) Fishing is prohibited on this Beach – It is a conservation proclaimed are and it
is teeming with Natural species of Fish / Crayfish / Turtles and much more.
Remember this is a Conservancy. You can’t fish on this beach.
For fishing you need to drive to UMKOMAAS (2,5km)
h) Relaxing on the Beach – Right in front of the Cottage (15 meters to the beach)
Eat Breakfast / Lunch and Supper on the Beach front, in comfort.
You can even pitch a GAZEBO and live on the beach – All Day until Late at night
Have your Night Cap Drink on the Beach whie watching the Starrs or the Moon Rise
